FEES AND REBATES

SESSION FEES

The Australian Psychological Society's (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees has set a standard rate of $300.00 for a 46-60 minute individual consultation with a Clinical Psychologist from 1st July 2023 to 1st July 2024.

For the past 16 years, Samantha has kept her fees below the APS recommended rate to help make therapy more affordable for those in need, and she has again done so for the 2023-2024 period.

All fees are as outlined on the Services page. 

REDUCED FEE ARRANGEMENTS AND BULK BILLING

Individuals with a current Australian Health Care Card (HCC) or in financial hardship may be eligible for reduced fees or bulk billing. Please contact Samantha directly to discuss. Please note that reduced fee / bulk billing places are limited and subject to availability.

REBATES

Please speak to your GP about your eligibility for a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows you to receive a rebate of $136.35 per session (or greater if you have reached your Medicare Safety Net). Referrals can be emailed directly to:  samanthafearns@gmail.com

Samantha can submit your claim to Medicare following each of your sessions, or you may request a receipt to claim directly.

Many private health funds also offer rebates for psychological services. Please check with your provider. Samantha will provide a receipt for you to lodge your claim directly.

Please note that Medicare does not currently offer rebates for couples therapy / relationship counselling. Rebates may possibly be claimed through your private health fund. Please check with your provider.
